Located in the heart of the historic center of Porto, it is one of the main and oldest monuments in Portugal.

Built at the beginning of the 9th century on the remains of the former convent of São Bento de Avé Maria, it is worth visiting the interior of the wide atrium, lined with twenty thousand tiles.

It is a bridge in metallic structure with two decks, built between the years 1881 and 1888, connecting the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia separated by the river Douro.

For wine lovers, it is one of the most touristic places to visit. Visits are guided and, at the end, they provide wine tasting.
