A journey in time tasting a good Cartuxa wine!

Departure from the hotel at 9:00 am to the Cartuxa Winery for visit and wine tasting. After visiting and tasting, we’ll continue to the historic center of Évora. Passing through the city’s central square, “Praça do Giraldo”, with the Royal Fountain and the Church of Santo Antão. Our day continues by visiting the Ruins of the Roman Temple and the Évora Cathedral. After lunch, we will visit the São Francisco Church and the famous “Capela dos Ossos”. Return to the Hotel.

Built by Franciscan monks to show the transience of life. At the entrance, above the chapel door we can see the following inscription: “We bones that are here, for yours we wait”.
